craft tour with rachna & ruchika

an unique travelling experience again .
recently i travelled with two young women ruchika & rachna who decided to take matsya’s craft tour to kutch, here’s a glimpse of our tour .
Ruchika a textile designer by profession & Rachna happens to be a software engineer who quit her job was on her journey to India find out by the social structure of women & develop a business model which would impact & contribute to the empowerment of women in India.
Rachna with her strong designing skills in textiles had a opportunity to work earlier for her project with the jodhpur blockprinters & now was eager to know more about the ajrakh block printers of Kutch .
As a part of her research she stumbled upon matsya’s blog & found about the craft tour & got going along with her sister ruchika …..
matsya designed a craft tour as per their requirements & gave them a complete experience of rural culture ,traditions ,and organizations that work in kutch in order to help them work better .
we had a lovely time eating the local food watching the sunsets at the rann of kutch enjoy the local music,& interacting with some local women craftsmen ,& meet maria who had taken our previous craft tour !

The trip to Kutch was simply amazing. Too much to write in a few words. Neha was greatly helpful in arranging the trip and the visit to the artisans. We got to go around knowing we were in good hands. I would highly recommend the craft tour for craft lovers all over.
